Enormous Baby Born In South Carolina

Cindy and Arthur Keisler are now the proud parents of a little boy... who is actually a really big boy. Their newborn son, Colin Austin Keisler, tipped the scale at 14.4 pounds at birth. In fact, he barely even fit on the scale.

Colin's parents knew he'd be a big baby because Cindy's belly got so large during her pregnancy that people thought they were having twins. However, when Colin was born by emergency C-section in South Carolina last week, even the Keislers were shocked by his size.

Arthur told the local news, "I have to remind myself that he is still a newborn because picking him up he feels like a toddler, but he is not able to support his head."

He added, "Initially we didn't have clothes that fit him so I had to go and buy an outfit and my wife's mum had got some clothes that we had bought for when he was older. He's currently wearing three to six month clothing but that is tight on him."

Colin is now the biggest baby ever to be born at the Lexington Medical Center, but he is nowhere near the biggest one ever born. That child weighed in at a whopping 22 pounds.
