A Pokemon Go Event is being remembered for countless technical issues. On Saturday in Chicago, Pokemon Go Fest was set to be a celebration of the game's first year. The event quickly descended into chaos as 20,000 players stood in entry lines for hours and then encountered a lack of bandwidth once inside.
Crowds booed a company official as he tried to explain that providers were attempting to pump in more bandwidth. There was also a crash bug issue and an authentication issue. Developer Niantic said they would offer players a refund on their $20 tickets and will give them $100 in Pokecoins.
