'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Actor Dies At 63

Larry "Flash" Jenkins has died at the age of 63.

The actor, best known for his roles in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Fletch, passed away on Thursday (April 25) after suffering a heart attack, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Long Island native got his start on the small screen in the 1978 TV movie Crisis in the Valley. He then went on to appear in a number of television shows, including M.A.S.H., The White Shadow, Home Improvement, Instant Mom, Ben City Blues, Finder of Lost Loves, and The Shield, and others.

Around 1984, Larry transitioned into film, staring in the action-comedy Fetch as Gummy alongside Chevy Chase and Joe Don Baker. A year later, he landed a role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off playing the now infamous passenger, who stole Cameron's (Alan Ruck) dad's Ferrari and took it on a joyride.

As the years when on, Larry expanded his skill set becoming both a producer and director. He was actually working on two films at the time of his death, The Gospel Truth and Anna Lucasta, both of which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in.

Larry is survived by his son, Jeffrey.
