NeNe Leakes Blasts Wendy Williams For Saying She Quit 'RHOA'

NeNe Leakes is not okay with the way her friend Wendy Williams shared their "private conversation" with the world.

One day after Wendy revealed on her talk show that she received a text message from Nene announcing her departure from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the reality star took to Twitter to give her thoughts on how the talk show host choose to disclose her personal business.

"Private conversations should be left in private! What are girlfriends for if you can’t vent to them on those type of days," NeNe wrote.

As fans know, on Tuesday's (January 21) episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Wendy told her audience, “I took a break between commercials, my office is right there behind the set. I had to go to the bathroom and so I looked at my phone between commercials. And NeNe texts, 'I’m quitting,'"

Despite Wendy's claim, a rep for Leakes later told People, “It’s been an especially difficult couple of weeks for NeNe, and she was venting to her friend in private correspondence. Nothing has been confirmed or officially decided for next season.” Nene then appeared to respond to Wendy's reading of her tweet on Instagram, captioning a photo herself with her mouth open: "WHO SAID DAT!?!?! #SMH."

On Tuesday's show, Wendy additionally claimed that Nene is hiding a secret, saying, “I know something about NeNe that you all will cry, be sad and feel bad for her. She’s carrying the weight of a huge thing on her shoulders. I’m not going to say it, she’s got to say it. But in my opinion, NeNe, you need this platform to explain the other part of your life.”

While she didn't reveal the "something" she knows, Wendy noted that the secret has nothing to do with NeNe's health, nor her relationship or children. “NeNe, you need that platform to explain,” she said through tears. “That’s all. I’m telling you. NeNe, don’t quit.”

“Forget arguing with them broads — you’ve got that secret, and that secret is going to melt their hearts,” Wendy added. “Because when she shared it with me, I cried with her.”
