Justin Bieber Explains Why He Thinks He Can Beat Tom Cruise In A Fight

Justin Bieber took another ride with James Corden for The Late Late Show's "Carpool Karaoke" series and doubled down on his claims that he could beat Tom Cruise in a fight.

In the segment, which aired on Tuesday night (February 19), the pop titan, 25, told Corden, 41, that he was "just being stupid" when he told Twitter in 2019 that he wanted to fight the Mission: Impossible star, 57. "I don't know. I was just being stupid, to be honest," Bieber recalled. "[But] then people were like, 'I wanna see this happen.' And I was like, 'You know what? That could actually be funny."

Corden was hesitant about how fun it would truly be for the Biebs, saying, "I gotta say, if you and me have a fight, you win. If you and Tom Cruise have a fight, I'd back Tom every day of the week." Still, it appears the chart-topper is not convinced that the Hollywood titan has it in him to beat him. "Absolutely not. I'm trying not to let my ego get in the way, but there's absolutely no way. He's not the guy you see in movies," Bieber explained. "I start to get frustrated. You're really boiling me up! I'm gonna f***in' fight you, bro!"

"That would be a good [idea]!" Corden replied. "Work your way up to Tom Cruise. Fight me, and then, like, Zach Braff, and then you do Tom Cruise."

Bieber went on to deem himself "dangerous," adding, "My agility is insane... I don't think you understand the mind control that I have! My mind control is another specimen. I'm different. I'm the Conner McGregor of entertainment!"

After the news went viral in 2019, Bieber backtracked on the claim. “It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes,” the singer said in a video. “I think he would probably whoop my a** in a fight,” he went on, emphasizing the action star's "dad strength."

Expect more from Bieber as he is set to perform live at our 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
