Last week a video surfaced which showed an altercation between a student and teacher at Glen Hill Middle School.
The teacher Akenga Smith is now facing charges after getting into an altercation with a student at a local school.
Initially the teach was put on paid leave after tackling the student but now he is facing charges
The Richmond County School System confirmed that they approved an arrest warrant for him.
He may now face a charge or charges of Simple Battery charges.
