Two Augusta women who have been identified as being involved in the beating of 24-year-old Brittney Stevens have been arrested.
Hollie Carter and Jordie Holt have been charged with aggravated battery in connection with the beating that happened on August 3rd. One male suspect is also said to be involved in the attack but has not been identified.
Investigators say the attack left Brittney Stevens with lacerations, and she was injured so badly that she may lose her sight in one eye.
According to reports, Brittney says two girls approached her yelling at her about an ex-boyfriend while she was waiting for her Uber after leaving an area night club. They started to get aggressive, so she went across the street, through an alley to get away, but then she realized there was a wall and there was no way out. She says that is when the attack occurred.
The suspects and a witness however told investigators that Brittney Stevens jumped over the handrail and pulled down one of the suspect's shirts.
A business across the street from the incident captured video footage in the moments leading up to the attack.
That footage show a person taking cell phone video of the incident. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating that surveillance footage. Investigators are also seeking to identify a male wanted in connection with the incident.
