Multiple counties have said they are either dismissing schools out early or have schedule changes due to the severe weather concerns.
Columbia County Schools will let students out early on Thursday, February 6th. Elementary school students will dismiss at 12:10 p.m., middle school students will dismiss at 11:00 a.m., and high school students will dismiss at 11:05 a.m.
All after school activities will be canceled in Columbia County.
McDuffie County schools are being dismissed early. Dearing Elementary out at 11am, Thomson Middle and High Schools out at 11:20am, and Thomson Elementary, Maxwell Elementary, and McDuffie Achievement Center all out at 11:30am.
SAIL Charter School is out 11:30am Thursday
The Aiken County Public School District released this statement:Thursday, February 6, all Aiken County Public Schools will operate on our Early Dismissal Schedule and dismiss students two hours early. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30 pm, middle schools at 1:10 pm, and high schools at 1:30 pm. All after school activities, practices, games, Evening 4K, Adult Education Program, and our Extended Day offering through Quest Zone will be canceled.

- Schools who dismiss at 2:30 p.m. will dismiss at 10:00 a.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 3:15 p.m. will dismiss at 10:45 a.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 3:25 p.m. will dismiss at 10:55 a.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 4:00 p.m. will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 4:30 p.m. will dismiss at 12:00 p.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 5:15 p.m. will dismiss at 12:45 p.m.
- Schools who dismiss at 5:30 p.m. will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.
Burke County Public Schools: Middle and high school students will dismiss today at 11:50 a.m. and primary and elementary school students will dismiss at 12:00 p.m.
Glascock County Schools are dismissing at 11:30am
Taliaferro County schools are closing their doors at 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
Barnwell School District 45 will dismiss students at 11:30 a.m. in elementary schools, and 11:50 a.m. for middle and high schools.
Barnwell District 29 schools are letting out early. Kelly Edwards Elementary will close at 11:15 a.m. and WE Middle and High School will close at 11:30 a.m.
Warren County Schools will release students at 11:30 a.m. Thursday due to inclement weather.
Bamberg Dist. 2 will dismiss students at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
Bamberg Dist. 1 schools will let out at 11:45 a.m.
Jefferson County will release at 12:00 p.m.
