Richmond County Schools will remain closed Friday, September 18th due to flooding. Photos below are a few from some of the school facilities today in Richmond County. The impact of excessive rain over such a short time frame as remnants of Sally moved through the area was varied with some of our schools experiencing no flooding or damage to extensive flooding and damage in other schools.
Richmond County schools will remain closed to students and teachers Friday.
Throughout the closure, work crews will be onsite cleaning schools, beginning repairs and disinfecting them. Meal pick up and bus stop meal delivery for virtual students who opted into the program will continue as planned tomorrow. School will open as scheduled on Monday, September 21.
