50 Cent's documentary about Diddy's legal issues will make its grand debut on Netflix.
The "Power" creator confirmed he sold his multi-part documentary Diddy Do It? to the streaming service in an Instagram post he made on Tuesday, May 21. Numerous networks and streaming platforms were involved in a major bidding war over the the doc, but Netflix came out on top. He first announced his plans to make the documentary back in December. A rep for 50 Cent and G-Unit Film and Television confirmed the program was in production and all profits would go towards victims of sexual abuse and rape.
"NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out 🤷🏽♂️I’m gonna need more episodes," Fif wrote in his recent Instagram post.
50 Cent was mostly likely referring to the latest lawsuit that was recently filed against Diddy. A former model named Crystal McKinney sued the Bad Boy founder for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her 20 years ago. In the suit, she claimed she met Diddy at an event during Men's Fashion Week in New York City and went back to his studio afterward. She alleged Diddy convinced her to follow him into a bathroom where he forced himself upon her and made her perform oral sex. After she passed out at the studio, she claimed she woke up in a taxi and realized she had been sexually assaulted.
McKinney is suing Diddy for an undisclosed amount. She's one of six alleged victims who have come forward within the past year including his ex-girlfriend Cassie, Joie Dickerson-Neal, his former producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones and others. Diddy has denied all the allegations, however, he did take responsibility for assaulting Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Last weekend, the New York native responded to the leaked security footage of the assault by making a public apology in a video he posted to Instagram. He legally couldn't say Cassie's name in the video due to the terms of the settlement they agreed to last year.
As of this report, a release date for 50 Cent's documentary about Diddy has not been confirmed.
