Teyana Taylor stunned the BET Awards with an immaculate preview of her upcoming album.
The beloved singer-actress hit the stage at the 2025 BET Awards to perform her new single "Long Time" for the first time live. She began her set by busting out some incredible moves in an all-red outfit while surrounded by dancers holding burning bouquets of flowers. Taylor recruited actress Taraji P. Henson to hold one of those burning bouquets as she recited a dramatic monologue. From there, Taylor returned to the stage in a futuristic suit while suspended in the air as she delivered another stunning dance routine.
Teyana Taylor's performance at the BET Awards comes days after she dropped the vibrant music video for her new single. The video, which was directed by One Battle After Another director Paul Thomas Anderson, Taylor stars as a fiery protagonist who kidnaps her co-star Lakeith Stanford and keeps him captive. Later on, her new boo Aaron Pierre, who plays a red-dressed police officer, discovers her lifeless body in the street. He picks her up and carries her away.
The music video is the perfect introduction to Teyana Taylor's upcoming visual album, Escape Room. The upcoming project is Taylor's first full-length LP since she delivered The Album in 2020. Teyana Taylor's fourth studio album arrives in August.
