Arrest Made in Boulevard Drive Murder
Thomson, GA. – Paul Jones Jr., 27 years old, of Thomson was arrested earlier today for the shooting death of Norris McCord Jr.Jones surrendered to law enforcement personnel at the Department of Community Supervision Office in Thomson, Georgia. Jones is currently being held at the McDuffie County Jail.
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at approximately 5:30 P.M., the Thomson Police Department requested the assistance of the GBI regarding a homicide investigation which occurred on Boulevard Drive in Thomson, McDuffie County, Georgia.At approximately 5:15 P.M., officers with the Thomson Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of Boulevard Drive in reference to a person being shot.Upon arrival, officers found Norris McCord Jr., 35 years old, deceased inside the residence.Preliminary investigation revealed that Paul Jones Jr. of Thomson shot McCord inside the residence.
