South Carolina will kick off their sales tax holiday weekend on tomorrow (Aug. 2nd through Aug. 4th) and you could save big on your back to school shopping!
During the weekend, you can get all of your kid's school supplies save on 6% state sales tax or any local taxes. The South Carolina Department of Revenue says shoppers have saved between $2 million and $3 million statewide during the holiday weekend. Tax-free items range from clothing, accessories, and shoes to school supplies, backpacks, and computers. Shoppers will also find tax-free items for their home or dorm room.
Not-exempt items mean you have to pay sales tax for those items.
