Girl Scouts isn’t your ordinary extracurricular activity. In fact, it’s anything but. At Girl Scouts, she’ll get all kinds of inspired as she tries new things, takes on meaningful challenges, and builds community—all while inspiring others, too! Through hundreds of different hands-on experiences in entrepreneurship, STEM, the outdoors, travel, community service, and more…

· She will turn “can I?” into “I will!”

· She will transform her ideas into actions.

· She will turn her questions into adventures.

· She will grow her confidence with practice and more practice.

According to new findings from the Girl Scout Research Institute, participating in Girl Scouts helps girls develop key leadership skills they need to be successful in life. Compared to their peers, Girl Scouts are more likely than non–Girl Scouts to be leaders because they:

Seek challenges and learn from setbacks (62% vs. 42%), take an active role in decision making (80% vs. 51%), and exhibit community problem-solving skills (57% vs. 28%)

· Participate in STEM (60% vs. 35%), outdoor (76% vs. 43%), and civic engagement activities (79% vs. 37%)

In short, the Girl Scout program provides the differentiating factors that help girls excel.
