It appears that former Ga. Senator and businesswoman Kelly Loeffler is close to selling her ownership in the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. Her ownership was called into question after she made some controversial comments over the WNBA's support of the Black Lives Matter Movement. A representative for the WNBA confirmed with ESPN that it’s only a matter of time before Kelly Loeffler is no longer a team owner. She has had ties with the Atlanta based WNBA team for over ten year but because of the controversial statements she’s made regarding players supporting the BLM movement, lots of people have (including some of the players) been pushing for her to sever those ties.
